"Wayne has a wealth of knowledge and experience from serving his country and helping to stop suffering on a global scale. He continues to do so although fighting his own battles. 'Soldier of Conscience' is a true testament of hearts and minds, using our experience to do amazing things and changing lives for the better. "This is an account of moral bravery in action. We owe a great deal to men like Wayne Ingram and there are not too many of them." - Lord Julian Fellowes

Soldier of Conscience is the true story of Wayne Ingram M.B.E, a British soldier who, after experiencing the horrors of war and battling Complex PTSD, finds his life changed by a four-year-old boy named Stefan. Born into a war-torn country and severely disfigured, Stefan’s encounter with Wayne begins a journey of healing for both of them. Over the course of 13 years, Wayne's aggression and trauma are softened by Stefan’s love, courage, and the bond they share. Their relationship helps Wayne rediscover a life beyond war and violence, ultimately leading him to become a better, more compassionate person.

Ingram’s story takes readers through various chapters of his life—his military service in reconnaissance, the challenges of PTSD, his work as a paramedic, and his volunteer efforts as a firefighter. The book also details his career in remote medicine, including time spent in war zones like Iraq and Africa, where he faced personal and professional challenges. Along the way, readers are immersed in his fundraising efforts, such as surviving a life raft challenge and organizing a 24-hour cycling event to build an orphanage in Africa.

This is an emotional and multi-faceted narrative, blending themes of love, courage, death, mental health struggles, and personal growth. Written from the heart, it is a raw and honest account of a man who overcame his past through the transformative power of love and compassion. This memoir resonates with anyone facing personal battles, making it relatable to a wide audience.

About Wayne Ingram MBE

Wayne Ingram joined the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment in 1986 at the age of 17 where he was immediately sent to Germany as part of the British Army on Rhine (BAOR) during the Cold War against the Warsaw Pact. It was whilst stationed in Germany he passed and qualified as a Commando in the French Army and found his love of reconnaissance duties. In 1992 this niche in soldiering led him to transfer to the 9th/12th Royal Lancers, a designated reconnaissance regiment.

He has served numerous operational tours in war zones including Northern Ireland and Bosnia Herzegovina as a soldier and Iraq and Africa as a private security operator Paramedic.A chance meeting with a 4 year old Bosnian boy in 2003 redirected a life of war and fighting to one of fundraising, eventually seeing him receiving the Member of the Order of The British Empire (MBE) in the Queen's Birthday Honours 2021. He now works full time as a remote offshore Specialist Paramedic
