I found this very interesting to read, and as a book under 200 pages, you can get through it fairly quickly, especially as the writing is very easy to read and digest. I think it’s important to read about and remember these men involved, because they tried so hard and went through so much trying to find the Ripper. You have to remember that these detectives and police officers had none of the ways of identifying killers that we do now, so this was extremely difficult for them. Overall, if you are fascinated with Jack the Ripper, I highly recommend giving this a read because you get to know Abberline a bit more and understand more of the behind-the-scenes of one of those involved in the case.
