Elvis, deeply tanned and dressed in a sky-blue caped suit, floral shirt and his favourite gold belt, holds a press conference before performing the first of his four concerts at Madison Square Gardens, New York. Singing to more than 80,000 people at he made history by becoming the first entertainer to sell out four consecutive shows at the famous venue.
