The Second World War introduced new tactics and new technologies that were at first most advantageously used by the Germans whilst the Allies still fought like it was World War I. The Nazi use of Blitzkrieg tactics led to a quick domination of many European countries, but Britain stood firm and this tiny little army fought off the German threat with the help of the allies.
