Many of the men of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, arrived in Vietnam “green as green can be” to a place “they couldn’t have found on a map.” They were largely “transported to Vietnam as individuals, rather than as units,” but, through intense fighting at places like Hamburger Hill, “a trust was developed between the men.”

Decades after their service ended, many of them continue to meet.
