The shipyard of J J Sietas is arguably one of the best-known in northern Europe. It was founded in 1635 and from its inception, the company was continuously owned by the founding family until April 2014. From the mid-1950s a decision was made to classify the vessels according to types. A numerical scheme began with Karin in 1958. This scheme still continues to the present day. This first volume covers ships built from the 1950s to 1973.
