The renowned Soviet attack aircraft Il-2 and its various models within the Polish Air Force have been extensively documented with unmatched detail. This publication comprises numerous unpublished photographs obtained from private collections, along with a series of specially commissioned color profiles that illustrate and describe the color schemes and markings used. The book is composed of 96 pages and contains a total of 52 color profiles.
While some publishers have recently been forced to reduce paper quality to cut costs, so far Mushroom Model Publications (MMPBooks) has retained its familiar stock, giving this 96-page volume a definite 'heft' when compared with similarly sized products. Combined with its well-deserved insistence on printing quality, especially with the period photos, the result is a book that has wider appeal than perhaps the average reference on the II-2. It’s easily the best publication describing Il-2 operations in Poland and will be invaluable for those building a Polish airframe of the type.

Airfix Model World
This adds another well known aircraft type to the list of types used by the Polish Air Force in WW2 and beyond. It is also very clearly aimed at the aviation modeller as the details on colours and markings are an invaluable reference. Well worth adding to your reference shelf I'd suggest.
