Linda Dangoor was born and raised in Baghdad until the age of 12, when she moved with her family to the UK. She went on to study painting and graphic design at the Central School in London and worked for many years as a graphic designer. She later returned to painting and to pottery. She is a member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen and has exhibited her work for many years. A passionate cook, she resolved to put down her favourite family recipes and some dishes of her own creation in book form. The first edition of Flavours of Babylon, which celebrates the flavours and recipes of her Baghdadi heritage, was published in 2011 to rave reviews. Following on from the book’s success, Linda began giving demonstrations at food festivals, bookshops and private homes.
