This book demonstrates acts of cold hard courage in the face of enemy action and natural elements in which they operated, in particular when they could see men go on operations never to return or very few return and then themselves do exactly the same next time. Should these units and their equipment have been developed earlier in World War two then a slightly different result may have emerged.

This great book looks at an area of German naval special forces that I didn't know much about. I was fascinated to see the designs of the various underwater craft used and to see that some of the men who used them, made it, despite the odds I bet! Definately recommended if you are into amphibious/special forces warfare.
