LIEUTENANT-COLONEL BRAUN commanded the Sherbrooke Hussars, a Primary Reserve Force armoured unit which perpetuates the Sherbrooke Fusilier Regiment, prior to serving as the interim commander of the 35th Canadian Brigade-Group before retiring. He holds Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in history.
He is presently working on the history of the 5th Battalion, Canadian Mounted Rifles which fought in the trenches of France in World War One.
