Interesting story of two friends who went out biking, when both got bicycle problems. On their way to the repair shop, they met friends who didn't really do something to help them. One friend grumbles, while the other counters with positive thinking. A really good read with a good moral of the story.

I absolutely loved this book. The pictures were so bright and engaging. I really liked the style. The story was unique and flowed well. I loved that duck was grumpy and that hedgehog was always looking on the bright side. So cute!

What a great book! It is such a fun story. A pessimist and an optimist walk together and this is the result. A subtle reminder to look at things in a positive light and not everything is as it seems. Made me giggle. 5 stars

Duck and hedgehog discover their bikes have got flat tires, so they set out on a long walk to the bicycle shop. On their way, they meet a number of animals. While duck makes assumptions about their intentions and character, hedgehog reminds duck not to judge them too quickly.

This book is beautifully illustrated with lovely, detailed pictures. I enjoyed the message it sends. Truly a lovely book to remind or teach children not to judge too quickly.

This is a lovely book about seeing the positives in others and giving the benefit of the doubt.

Duck finds everything and everyone annoying but hedgehog suggests that maybe there is a reason for their behaviour.

This is an important lesson for all of us.

I related to both duck and hedgehog (maybe more with duck). It’s so easy for us all to jump to conclusions and it’s important that we teach children that sometimes we make mistakes with what we think and that it’s ok to admit we were wrong.

Very clever way to show children to assume nothing; to give people the benefit of the doubt. It’s healthy to have a positive outlook and believe the best about your friends. Good thing the friends weren’t aware of duck’s negative attitude. Great story and one that should be read often.

This book had me saying “awwww, how nice” at the end! Duck and Hedgehog are best friends. However, they have two different attitudes toward life. This book is about how they went for a bike ride one day and found they both had a flat tire. So they went to get the tires fixed. On the ways some things happen and well, you have to read the book to find out what “But perhaps, just maybe” means!

As an adult this book was a good lesson for me as well as my kiddo because sometimes I forget what the book teaches us. Sometimes we like to assume the negative thing, when it’s really a positive thing.

But Perhaps, Just Maybe by Tuva Dikman Oreo is a wonderful book for readers under 7 or for teachers to share with a class or for parents and carers to read to their children. It tells the tale of Duck and Hedgehog heading to the bicycle repair shop when they witness three different events that Duck considers to be selfish but “ open-minded “ Hedgehog question s whether the action might have more positive meanings. By the end of the story Duck learns that all that you see shouldn’t be instantly judged and that friends can be doing wonderful things that aren’t immediately recognised. In a world of much negativity and use with young learners and readers to build up their understanding of friendship and the actions that people take may not be as they appear. The illustrations are lovely and comical too but don’t detract from the message. A wonderful book that I will recommend highly to colleagues
