It neatly examines some principle aspects such as who Hitler was, why the Weimar Republic and the Treaty of Versailles, which impoverished Germany and so completely demoralised the Germans, were so causal to events in Munich... The book includes useful maps and an abundance of rare photographs to portray the rise of Hitler and his involvement with the city of Munich.

Having led many tours of Munich and Nuremberg delivering the subject of the rise and fall of Nazi Germany I came to this book with much expectation and was not disappointed. It delivers a very clear history and description of the locations in those cities that had such a bearing on the story of Nazi Germany. Maps are detailed and the photographs add substance to the story. The text describing the events is excellent and the book covers all the main locations and the associated history. It is an excellent guide to the story of Nazi Germany in those cities and surrounding areas.
